  1. hey jt, the county gives the entitled workers (supervisors) a county issued cell phone and explains to them that they are to be used for govt issues only. I know a supervisor who texts his wife probably 20 times a day. This isn’t just an abuse of the govt phone but think about how much time is wasted each day talking to momma when he is supposed to be working. It is obvious that not only a lot of “workers” have nothing to do but it applies to their bosses as well.

  2. Today is the big vote on annexing this property. I think that the county should accept the land and build some more ball parks. Now that Santa has brought Mark his diploma maybe he now knows how to grow some grass. I picture the place being a beautiful park. Only problem is, if he fails he doesn’t have Mackes around to cover for him. The good news is if he does fail they can turn it into section 8 housing and Mark can supervise the building of the playgrounds. His strong suits are inspecting playgrounds and watching other people work.

  3. Sounds like Santa treated all those supervisors good. Did he leave anything for the rest of us who actually have to do the work? When people are constantly burning up all their sick time and then begging for more, guess what, us low lifes on the food chain have to do their work as well as our own. No way these sicklies will ever unseat Mark in the ironman competition.

  4. Great news, Santa has arrived at the Civic Center. He brought Miller a new mirror, Pam a new personality, Linda a fifth of Popov, Big Ed 2 knew knees, Brian a Dr. Phil self help book, new chairs and tables for the next musical chairs competition, and another supervisor to replace Frank. Vicki got a weeks worth of salads and leaping Larry got a new cane. Hopefully Culver will give those 2 some more sick time in 2019, 100 days off a year isn’t quite enough. Or maybe he can force them to lighten up on those calories. He also brought the Poole guy the same thing he brought Pam and a sheepskin for Mark .Pee Wee got some used nuts and bolts. MERRY CHRISTMAS

  5. Mark R is a fellow firefighter and he is in charge of the athletic complex. He has been a farmer for a long time. I am sure he knows how to grow grass and I would imagine he doesn’t get the resources to do his job correctly and that is why the place looks so poorly.

  6. My girls softball team played at Henry Parker last summer and the game had to be stopped to fix the artificial turf. Those fields are only a year old, what’s it gonna be like in 5 years. Millions of more dollars? I guess taxpayers have an unlimited budget. Whenever the county gets funds from the state they call that free money, guess what, IT’S NOT FREE. FIND SOMEBODY WHO KNOWS HOW TO GROW REAL GRASS.

  8. I see why millions of dollars were spent on artificial turf, nobody knows how to grow grass. My dog shit on field 2 the other day and the field actually looked better. That might be the only fertilizer that the place gets.

  9. I hope this land doesn’t go to rec and parks. they have proven time and again they can’t manage what they have. our fields are worse than ever but it seems no one is held accountable. ride by the parker complex and judge for yourself.

    1. No corruption there. Land is free to the county. Backs up to parker complex. Will be able.to finish digging the sand pitts out to use dirt for landfill cover. Will save county over 10 million dollars in dirt costs for landfill cover.
