    1. MSP doesn’t have jurisdiction over the Fruitland Walmart, the Fruitland PD does. The WCSO would have been there before the MSP.

      1. There was a MSP Explorer with lights on in front of the doors and troopers with shotguns drawn standing gaurd making people git away.

  1. 2:12, with all of the departments you mentioned there is a agreement to work one another’s turf. What you are insinuating is if a trooper is passing by and a call comes in he
or she has to head toward Barrack “E” because it is Fruitland’s jurisdiction. No police in uniform around here is going to pass up a opportunity to give another department a helping hand even without the agreement. You have been watching too much TV where out of state cops are afraid to go inside schools to save citizens from being shoot. Around here there is a tight brotherhood. Oh, if you are on Rt. 13 in Fruitland and a trooper stop’s you for a traffic violation, tell them it’s Fruitland’s beat. Request a Fruitland officer be summoned to write your fine. Lol

    1. I would never do that. Once you got FPD onsite there would be like 3 more charges to go with that ticket plus a field sobriety test.

You obviously don’t know anything about the police agencies in Wicomico County and their dispatching procedures. The Fruitland PD is dispatched to the Walmart and other areas in their jurisdiction for emergencies. The Maryland State Police does not get dispatched to municipalities such as Fruitland and Salisbury unless requested. It is called a mutual aid agreement but they don’t monitor Fruitland or Salisbury PD’s frequencies and they don’t monitor the Maryland State Police.

The MSP and the WCSO as well as the NRP has statewide jurisdiction but it is their policy not to respond to incidents in municipalities unless they are dispatched or requested. If a traffic violation or a crime happens in front of them of course then need to act.

If there was an incident of that magnitude in Fruitland it would have made the news, more than likely.

  4. Hey JT, since the county has annexed the property next to the Parker Complex I think it would be a nice gesture to give Mark an office out there. After all it is the holiday season. Since he is in charge of the complex he should be closer to it with this expansion. Mark has done a poor job maintaining that pig hole so far – basically because he is stuck in his cubicle at Owens Branch all day. We think he just needs to be closer. Everybody blames Chuck for that disaster but Mark is the one who is supposed to be in charge. Also he could text momma more often on his county issued cell phone without anyone looking over his back.

  5. The man is obviously deep in love with his sweetheart. I agree he should have his own office at the complex so they can text each other without interference. The county gave him that cell phone and he should be able to use it as he chooses. The hell with the taxpayers, they got plenty of money.

  6. Christmas is over, it’s time for county employees to use their taxpayer funded phones for work and not checking to see what momma is doing at the day care center.

  7. I talked to this guy who works for rec and parks, I think his name is Mervin, and he told me he ditched his personal cell phone since the county furnished him one. He said why should he pay for a cell phone when taxpayers give him one for nothin. He said if his boss can be on his cell phone all day long talking to his wife then he can talk to his baby momma all day too.

  8. Mervin could have had a family emergency. What if his baby momma couldn’t get her EBT card to work at Skipjacks? NOW THAT IS A HUGE PROBLEM!!! That county cell phone would certainly come in handy in a situation like that.
