  1. What the Hell is up with that stupid logo? Who designed it? Was it approved by the legislative body? Why isn’t the County Council making Mr. Culver discontinue using it? It’s two years old now so it is out dated.

  2. Just take a stack of The Guide and give them open to help wanted section….lot of job openings!!! Put them to work instead of giving more handouts…..

    1. Let’s see if you are homeless you probably wont have transportation to get to the job, more than likely no clean clothes or shower possibly no id so how are they going to get a job? I have met several homeless who are only there thru no fault of their own. I know you do not want to believe that but it happens. With many people living pay check to check an illness , a house fire, lost job etc. and you are out. Living in the woods or under a bridge. Fearing for your safety getting robbed , no food and now freezing. You are a judgmental individual. I myself was so close to being homeless after a house fire . I had a job so i did not qualify for entitlements or aide. Hell the red cross would only pay for 1 hotel night . No clothes all gone…none of my child’s mementos, home made Christmas ornaments first tooth first, photos everything gone. It was a rental I just moved in the fire started outside in the yard but because my name was on the lease and only being there 3 days with no renters insurance because my name was on the lease I got nothing replaced. So how dare you! Show some compassion. Would you really want another human being to freeze to death because YOU feel they do not deserve to live because of circumstance?

  3. 12:58 you are part of the problem with what’s happening in our communities! All you do is make excuses for these folks….if they can get to the shelter, the bridge, the woods then they can get to a job…..maybe more than 1 job! Possessions are just material things, Christmas items, a tooth???, pictures are nice to have saved….but not necessary to survive! Have a job a slowly replace loss items.

  4. Let me give you all a piece of advice. If you give coats to Halo, the director may or may not give them directly to the residents. They may end up being sold in the Halo Thrift store. She takes a vacation to Disneyland every year. Takes the family. Homelessness is a thriving business. Just saying.
