Conservative Leaders Needed For Our Area.

If you have more conservative viewpoints , Salisbury and Wicomico County need you to consider stepping up to run for political office.

I don’t support the local Republican Club because they are followers of whatever they are told to do, what I’m talking about are individuals with strong beliefs in conservative views that can make decisions based on their own beliefs without needing a group to guide them.

The City of Salisbury and Wicomico County have been taken over by the progressive factions in the community . I no longer support Jake Day and am actively looking for someone who has community respect and support to challenge him in the future. Jake is a progressive and he has shown it clearly now after years of politics. My views and his for this City are now in polar opposite places. The City Administrator Julia Glanz and down through the ranks have been filled with progressive members.

Jake Day has catered to their every whim and has been disrespectful to anyone who has challenged his thoughts on The Cities futures. Jake Day would allow Salisbury Downtown to become like Seattle with no hesitation because he supports that view . After watching the riot/protest group take over that City and call a section of it Chaz I realized that if we don’t get people in positions that can withstand loud voices telling them what to do we are doomed to become just like it.

It’s not personal, it’s the way the world works. My views are opposite and I want to support people who have what I believe are the best interests in the City in mind.

When I found out today they are going to rename Broad Street to Black Lives Matter Blvd I wasn’t going to bite my tongue anymore. A few years back I was critical of the rainbow crosswalk and finally let it go because I don’t want gay people to feel unwelcome, it’s just that I support traditional marriage. When this happened I asked the City to do another crosswalk to show support for law enforcement near the Courthouse but notice that never happened . In the time I was away a Gay Pride parade was announced and then the entire Downtown is filled with rainbow flags. I mean at what point are we going from making them feel welcome to shoving a view down others throats? This is what you get with Jake Day , Julia Glanz and the Progressive group that have taken over the City.

I saw the news last week where they took the Winder monument down and if you remember I was the leader that started the opposite petition that convinced them not to remove it. I have been away a bit from here but then out of the blue I see Jake Day was sharing a new petition around basically trying to shame anyone who didn’t support removing it that they were racist.

I actually had changed my view regarding its location so it wasn’t even a big deal to me that it was removed, what was a big deal was the way it was done. It wasn’t done with public input or discussion it was done in a knee jerk reaction to hopefully make people feel happy.

The City and County governments need to have other views than the Progressive takeover that has occurred . As stated it’s not personal, but these people do not represent me and my beliefs and I know I’m not alone.

  1. Hysterical that blacks are whining about the “white administration”. Any blacks with any qualifications bother to apply? What was the ratio of black applicants? Are there any blacks that have any qualifications required? All I see is more uneducated black whining, with no facts. Was affirmative action not enough, now you just want to be handed the job?

Then JT pulled out and left the door wide open for Gregory. Almost like it was planned. Sorry dude, but you are partly the reason we are all screwed.

    • I agree with you partly . I shouldn’t have filed to begin with as I really wasn’t that interested, I just didn’t want Gregory to get a free ride. I can assure you it wasn’t planned however

      • I know it wasn’t planned and I am believing that, or trying to but boy was I mad when you did that because that was her ticket in. I was equally mad at the woman that also pulled out. Either of you could have easily beat her. Hope you are well, stay safe.

  3. I grew up on the corner where they put the BLM Bvd so I believe that for all the talk we listen to nothing has changed. The black folk that lived there had businesses and the people worked. The community was ripped apart when they pushed Rte 50 through the neighborhood uprooting our way of life. We were not a part of the decision making or asked to participate. Only the black folks had to move.
One last thing is the people who reply on here don’t leave their names and it causes me to think it’s one person talking to himself or herself.

    • That’s nice but what good does it do to name a park? How about some of the whites in the Day admin give up their seat at that table so a minority can have the job. You have to admit the Day admin is as white as a Ku Klux Klan meeting. This is the only real meaning of being inclusive. Renaming this or that changes nothing but a name. It’s stupid really especially this fake renaming that was done with the street. I don’t expect an answer since this is another one of the uncomfortable conversations you people avoid, dance around, evade, try to dodge.

there are conservative republicans in favor of removing the confederate statues and flags. I am thrilled this is finally happening.”

Eugene Magee said… Can’t erase history removing them does nothing

Vanessa Alban said… Eugene Magee it does do something, they should not be honored. They fought against our flag. I agree history can’t and shouldn’t be erased, that is not my goal. Traitors to our Union and those who fought for the evil of slavery should not be honored on public land.

Vanessa Alban said… they were traitors to our union, fought against our flag. And we are honoring them???

Michael Dearing said… Sounds to me like a closet Democrats 😢

Vanessa Alban said… Michael Dearing don’t talk to me like i’m uninformed. I am well educated on the subject and furthermore i’ve lived it. So take that argument and shove it

    • Vanessa Alban is not one bit “well educated.” She is extremely ignorant. No one is being honored. That’s asinine. It’s history. History is the good the bad the ugly. Can’t change that. So few children even go to museums and it’s a disservice to them to move these things. So now it will be only the privileged children that get the education these signs provide. I remember when I was growing up my parents would stop the car at everyone we saw so we could read them.

    • Only in your wildest dreams could you be “this clown.” I don’t need a job don’t want a job. I have enough so my children’s children don’t even have to work a day in their lives and will have everything they want and need and more. I have what that position pays a year laying around my house at any given time. It’s pocket change to me. I am conservative as they come which means I live by Christian values so I treat everyone equally unless there is a reason not to. No one can honestly say blacks are equally represented in Salisbury and they very well should be. They never have been and it continues to this day. They are let out of all the decisions that pertain to them. It’s been happening for forever. The latest is renaming the street. The city is run by white racists who have done a good job at pretending they are “inclusive” but their true motives have been identified. They are around to only cause divide. That is their motive behind everything they do including the pride flags, the street renaming etc.

  9. Broad st renaming has all to do with white wokes and white social justice warriors trying so hard to prove to everyone else they are not the real racists. The Salisbury black community was not even consulted on this. How can they claim then black lives matter to them when black input and opinions dont mean anything to them. They are the racists. The ones who pretend to be inclusive but leave blacks out of decision making that relates to them. The street renamed should be Lake which holds a lot of black history. And it should be really renamed and not phony renamed. That is like peeing on someones leg and telling them its raining. To not do it legitimately is insulting to the black community.

They didn’t even have the thought to include any black leaders in the decision. It was never for blacks anyway but for white wokes.

  11. How come it was white people that decided what street would be named BLM? Why wasnt it put out to the black community to come up with the street? Salisbury government once again kicking the black community off the bus completely. The street should be in a minority neighborhood that is under served to drawl attention to the area and the lack of government officials to care about those under served.

  12. I agree with you about the Republican Party. Did you know that the Wicomico County Republican Central Committee is run by a little boy who wasn’t elected? Nate Sansom ran for Central Committee and lost his election in 2018. He was later appointed by Mark McIver after the untimely death of Central Committee member David Goslee. Mark McIver was the chair and stepped down and had the boy put in as the Central Committee Chair. An unelected person is in an elected position running the Wicomico County Republican Central Committee.

Let’s not forget the same boy volunteers his time in Jake Day’s office instead of the county office. Let’s not forget that the same boy worked on Democrat Socialist Jake Day’s campaign as a Republican Central Committee member. Let’s also not forget that Mark McIver, Muir Boda and Wendy Arnspacher also campaigned for Democrat Socialist Jake Day’s campaign. The Republican Central Committee and the Republican Club is in bad shape.

Hey Goober, only 2,444 people came out to vote for Jake Day out of 32,000 residents. That really makes the “EIGHTY FIVE PERCENT” look like the size of your penis. Humongous isn’t even a viable term in this conversation. 428 people actually voted against Jake Day but the “Humongous” numbers were the other 30,000 people who stayed home that didn’t vote for your boy. Now that his “HUMONGOUS!”

For all the talk of how diverse they are the city government is the biggest failure when it comes to diversity and inclusion. They think the black community will be pacified because they are renaming the street which isn’t really even renaming it. Just another useless gesture in a long line aimed at shutting up the black community.

They wouldn’t back the black candidate no matter their achievements and qualifications All their actions are just them trying to prove too hard they are not racists but their actions prove they are the biggest racists around. Day too.

  20. A new petition needs to be put into circulation. Out with Glantz and In with a Minority. Also get rid of the minority voting district nonsense. This was not ever a good idea. It was an idea hatched by democrats to shut minorities up but all it did was make them the smallest fish in the pond. They can’t run a slate of candidates when voting is broken down into districts. Every person on the council votes which means every person on the council represents minorities so the end game with the district style of voting means they only have a whisper as opposed to a loud voice on the council. Both the council and the city heads should mirror the racial makeup of Salisbury.

I’ve got a better idea…. Let’s leave race out of the mix and go on the best qualified person!

      • So are you saying there isnt anywhere around a minority that is qualified? The Day admin is as white as a KKK rally is the truth! Blacks arent even getting pushed to the back of the bus with this admin. They arent allowed on the bus at all! Now it makes sense. The street fake renaming to BLM Blvd was a way to try and pacify. That it is a merely a gesture with no real substance is insulting. Rename it for real. But really that it is such an insignificant small street is telling. Why not rename the Downtown Plaza BLM Plaza? That would be meaningful. Oh we get it. That would never happen because the city is scared of what it may become. That racist thought is in their minds. But they try so hard to prove they arent racists and in the meantime are proving they are the biggest racists around.

    • Day is ta big time racist and bigot. All he ever does is useless gestures for the minority community. Talks the talk is all His own actions prove he is a big racist. He hasn’t done one thing meaningful for minorities ever. Salisbury has a high minority poverty rate. Not only a very low homeownership rate overall but for minorities owning a home isn’t even a dream because they know it won’t happen.
instead of buying a home in a “diverse” neighborhood he purchased as far away from minorities as he could get which is an extremely racist move. He will not ever send his kids to a school that is mostly minority.
Also look at his administration. Where are the blacks, hispanics?
I could go on an on about his racist ways that I am sure he doesn’t want to talk about nor do his supporters but insightful people get the message. Talk is cheap and so are gestures. They are a way to shut up minorities to hide one’s own racism.
